OrgSync is Going Dark on Sunday, June 16, 2019

Fittingly, on the final day of 2019 Commencement Exercises, OrgSync at UCSB will "go dark." After eight years on the platform, the Office of Student Life (OSL) and partners have decided to move to a new platform.

Why the switch? The strongest impetus is the fact that OrgSync was purchased and its parent company has decided to deprecate it in favor of a different product in the lineup. OSL has also taken extensive feedback we’ve received from students over the past eight years into account, which we are using to inform both platform selection and implementation.

Over the summer, OSL staff and colleagues from more than 40 departments across campus will be collaborating to set up the next-generation student engagement platform for UCSB. We are excited to provide students and leaders with a more robust platform: more intuitive, greater functionality, much more content and integration from multiple units across campus, and with a renewed focus on learning valuable skills through co-curricular activities.
